Foothills Aero was born from a desire to help grow and support the General Aviation community here in Western NC. Our goal is to provide consistent, quality instruction, and to do so at an affordable cost! We further want to help build a community of aviators - one that will work together and pass along our love for the skies to all those who come behind us.

Learning to fly is pretty complicated - and expensive! That is why we are here. We offer a uniform flight curriculum for all students, allowing you to be more prepared for each lesson, and ready to learn right out of the gate. This keeps the time required to master flight to a minimum, saving you money. Even more important - it ensures that you get the best training possible and can enjoy a lifetime of safe flight!
